Did you know? WebP is pronounced "weppy"

So apparently the WebP format is pronounced as “weppy”. I’ve always pronounced it as “Web pea.” and never heard anyone say “weppy”.

This whole thing reminds me of the GIF and JIF debate from a few years back  What is it with image formats and weird pronunciations?! :person_shrugging:

EDIT: Oh, as soon as I posted this I also remembered that it’s supposedly “Ping” for a PNG!

So… we now have Weppy, JIF, and Ping :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Aren’t they three of the Wiggles?

What about Elements and WebP? Will it be easy to use them instead of JPGs? Drag and drop in Elements? In RWC drag and drop turn WebPs in to large PNG files.

Yes, the WebP format is supported in RapidWeaver Elements :+1:
