None of my mp4’s work. Perhaps the mp4’s need to be in a special mp4 format?
Oh that’s strange, mp4’s are supported in the video component… how are you trying to use them?
Can you share an mp4 that’s not working for you and we can take a look?
Hello @paulcruice
mp4 work well in element, make sure name of video and .mp4
You can try section of video project is free
Dan it’s my problem. I am confused as to what Overlay Drop zone is. If this is the same as Thumbnail, as it appears to be, why are they called two different things? After more experimenting, I discovered they are the same thing. They really need to be called by the same name if you want this program to be intuitive.
My mp4 problem has gone away now. Do hope you change the name.
Oh, I have now discovered they are different things, but I ask, why would anyone want to overlay a colour on the Thumbnail?
This is for when you want to add something on top of the video before it begins playing - one use case would be a play button.
In this case you would drop an SVG in to the Video Overlay drop zone, when that gets clicked the video would start playing.
You might want to darken/lighten the thumbnail image, say when you have an SVG added to the Overlay drop zone

OH OK I thought that’s what the Controls slider button is for. Obviously not.
OK starting to get the picture now.
bon, in your reply to me you quoted part of my previous post in your response. Can I ask how do you do that? I don’t work in forums much so need to learn these things.
Cheers.
