E-commerce on Elements

Where are we with e-commerce options for Elements ?

It’s been a frustrating ride in Classic

I’d like to see a basic sales product being offered using built-in CMS

I did buy ‘WebShop’ but updates stopped some 6 months ago and I dont see an option for running it on Elements.

What about WooCommerce on Elements - I have found it great in Wordpress

RapidCartPro crashed and burned - even though everybody liked it

How to choose Elements without knowing how you’re going to be able to sell ?

Hi @jbob,

You can use Ecwid or Cartloom; there are already customers using these two solutions inside of Elements

Great - but either will cost £300 / year to run … what about PaySnap / RPC equivalents ?

I know @AdrianB has been working on a Vibracart solution for Elements, maybe that would work for you…

As long as the service you choose allows you to embed it into your own website (with an HTML snippet) then you’ll be able to integrate it into Elements with ease.

Hope that helps.

OK - thank you Sir … I’ll take a look at that !!

Hi Dan and everyone! I’d like to get some instructions on how to integrate Ecwid into Elements. Where can I find them? On the Ecwid website I only found information referring to RapidWeaver, which I assume means the Classic version. Best regards!

Does ECWID use snippets of code for products/Groups etc? I use Cartloom and its easy just copy snippets into Custom HTML component and away you go simples!

You simply have to place a small code-snippet into your site. It’s the same wether it is RapidWeaver or Elements…

Oops – it was actually easy. Great, thanks!

I’m happy with my progress in creating a simple blog with the cms.

Assuming the foundations are strong - I see this approach of sliding out new cms features and testing them live as very clever.

I’m presently using a simple PayPal cart as a store - and it’s refreshingly straight forward.

My next thought is to perhaps utilise the cms to create a shop … how do others see this working ?

(Obviously the cms would be much more straight forward to use for people like me when there is a native bridge to markdown).

But the cms could be a great basis for a store … or … ??
