I have watched Dan & Ben video on how good the store is and really agree with you both. I have asked before about an Ecommerce store with elements, I have used Ecwid in the past and also looked at Shopify and you have suggested that you may create a link to Shopify.
But hey guys why not create your own add-on using the store you developed and make it available to use in elements as a user customized Ecommerce store.

Vibralogix has Vibracart Pro available for Elements. I use it with RW Classic and it functions well. Shopping Cart for Paypal & Stripe
Hey Dan I did not get any replies from you, I guess you don’t see the urgency for a shopping cart. 90 % of inquiries are for website with shopping cart these days
It’s proprietary code customized for a specific purpose, specifically for the distribution of digital products. There are likely already viable solutions for this 
I like your idea, but we don’t have plans to tackle this right now. I’m not sure what we could bring to the table that would be better than what’s already out there…
I cannot believe it Dan e-commerce is the number one reason most people need an e-commerce store, bets answer is to link elements with e-commerce apps out there
Richard I have used Cartloom for years since RWv5 I have never had any problems with it and have been running it in my Elements store for over a year now without problems. So tell me why would I want to change? I have a stable product that works and is very easy to add things too. I have used Shopify before that but Cartloom is tons easier for me.
Building an eCommerce solution from the ground up would be quite the undertaking. I’m just speaking for myself, but I’d agree that not every wheel needs to be reinvented. There are a lot of eCommerce solutions that you can very easily embed into your Elements built websites that work great and look great.
Kind of the same reason we don’t host email with our web hosting service. It introduces too much complexity to the infrastructure, significantly increases support requests, and risks degrading the web hosting experience. Not really worth it when there are dedicated email hosting providers that can can tackle that much better, some of which are even free for people to use!
Trying to build an eCommerce solution would present a lot of the same disadvantages, when that time and attention could be focused on the actual Elements app, and other products/services under the Elements Platform.
For e-commerce I use and recommend Vibracart Pro from Vibralogix. It works flawlessly, installs easily and has no monthly charge associated with it. I installed it on my website in just a few hours. Product updates are easy to manage as well.
