I have a contact form here on the page, but somehow it doesn’t work - maybe I missed something? Everything worked great on the RW Classic. Unfortunately, nothing happens when I click “Send”. jade-gymnasium.de
Does the page need to have the ending php ( index.php ) ? At the moment it is on index.html
Even if I click send, there is no error message or other information.

The error coming back from the form is “Failed to send email”. This suggests that your form settings are incorrect. Are you sure you have the correct details? Could you post a screenshot of your form settings (blocking out your password)?
Yes, it should be index.php. Try changing it, republishing, and see if form submission works then. Let us know how you get on.
I have changed it to index.php now but nothing happens

Are you sure you are entering the correct SMTP details in the form settings that you got from IONOS?

Unfortunately I can’t find the file on the Ionos server
Did you try TLS instead of SSL?
Also try port 587 and smtp.ionos.com

I have now learned that the email address does come from Ionos but can be accessed at school via Microsoft Outlook 365. How do I deal with this in this case.? I myself am with Strato and that is how it works on my website with my email, for example.

I am moving all my domains to elements hosting just because, but will also need to get email from IONOS to work in a contact form..
@differentdan I put up the micro blog on IONOS and get a 403, which may be a file permission I need to set manually or a PHP issue. No reason to go in problem solving mode now. I’m moving to Elements hosting and think that will fix it.
