BUG: If, accidentally or otherwise, a breakpoint in the Theme Studio/Screens tab is changed to 0 then the option to change it again is lost. The px scroll box is immediately replaced with the fixed text “Screens below SM“ and the 0px setting is locked in.
Also, I see that any changes made to breakpoint settings in theme studio also apply to any new projects started during that session ie before restarting Elements. Is that intended or should they only apply to the project in which they are created?
(Btw, I suggest that, if you want to check this, you use a new project specially created for the purpose and not one of your live or WIP projects. Also you should restart Elements afterwards to return the breakpoint settings to the defaults.)
I set them all to 0 then it really locked up, you do have to close Elements and completely restart, otherwise as you said all other projects have same settings
Thanks for taking the time to report this, it’s much appreciated
I’ve logged it in our bug tracker and we’ll aim to get it fixed in an upcoming build (hopefully very soon). If we need any further info, I’ll get back in-touch. Thanks again!
This is a problem… that I feel needs to be addressed urgently.
With no way to switch back the settings above I had to recreate the project I am working on from scratch. Which led to more problems (having to create each page and copy and paste each component over - why does drag and drop not work?)
May I make a suggestion, that before you swan off and create more chargeable components, you actually take time and fix what is broken or not working in the core of the program?
Copy and paster between projects is much more valuable to the lay person that a before / after slider and / or a password protect element I would bet.
Thanks for highlighting this again. You’re right, the breakpoint issue is a real problem and it shouldn’t be possible to get locked into a state you can’t undo. We’ve already logged it internally and it’s being treated as a priority fix. New Elements build should be out tomorrow (Monday)
Drag and drop between projects is also on our list to improve and we know it needs work.
We are fixing the core issues. New components don’t replace that, they help fund ongoing development so we can keep pushing updates and improvements across the whole app.
Thanks for your patience, and for taking the time to report the issue in detail.
