How to Update to the Beta

While we believe the betas of Elements 3 are very stable, however, we don’t recommend using it on live, mission-critical websites. The Tailwind 4 framework touches most parts of the app, including how webpages render, so please check your sites for layout issues or changes before re-publishing.

To install the beta, launch your current build of Elements and go to Settings/Preferences. Under the Updates section, enable beta updates.

Once beta updates are enabled, go to the Elements menu and select “Check for Updates…”.

How to rollback to a previous build

Should you run into an issues when using a new build of Elements you can always rollback to a previous version via the Release Notes page while you wait for a fix.

Keep the feedback coming

Thanks for being part of Elements and for helping us shape the future of web design on the Mac. Your feedback during the beta has already been hugely valuable and will play a big role in where Elements goes from here!

We’re excited to keep building, refining, and shipping, and we really can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.

Thanks
Team Elements

@dan Is the plan to release the AI version of Elements with the public release of Elements 3. I see the bugs getting squashed and the feature list for all these amazing components and containers getting updated but I assume the AI is a whole other process. I thought I remembered you saying the AI side of things might be months out.

Good question! We’re still working on AI integration alongside these 3.x updates, we could have easily added an AI chat bot and called it a day, but that wouldn’t have been good enough…

For AI to be really great inside of Elements, it needs to know exactly how the system works. It needs to understand the UI, the components, how things are built, and how things should be built. We’re busy building out the tools, documentation, and integrations inside of Elements that will make it really shine. I can guarantee no other Mac Website builder (or online) will be able to come close to what we’re doing

The AI Assistant (and MCP server) will be released later this year. I’ll continue posting weekly AI Dev Diary videos to show you the kinds of things it can do and how the work is progressing!

Of this I have no doubt. Framer might be as close as it gets, but these two apps are VERY different from each other.

The AI also has to have a method of staying current with every addition and update. A really big project to be sure.

Exactly! We’re building it into the core, so every time Elements gets built it has the latest information distilled down and ready for the LLM to use (there’s more to it than that, but that’s the gist).
