Hello again,
We’ve been hard at work on lots of improvements to the core of Elements and the base Components — This new beta lays the foundation for the next few updates that will see some big changes to text editing and Components (more on that next week-ish).
However, today’s beta still fixes a lot of issues and adds a new API — Enjoy!
What’s New in Beta 13?
- Dropping single images into the resources area now works again!
- Added portal support to the Elements Language (this will allow us to fix the Z-index/overlapping issues in our components)
- Custom Components can now be dropped into other projects (when dragged from editor, copy & paste coming soon!)
- New single select control with arbitrary value options added
- Added pretty names for drop zones
Added link support to image component(will be in a future beta, sorry).- Updated version number to use beta numbering scheme
- Removed the What’s New menu item for beta builds
Update to the latest Beta
Elements should prompt you while it’s running to let you know there’s an update, if it doesn’t you can select the “Check for Updates…” menu option from the “Elements” app menu.
Please note: Sometimes it takes a while for the update to propagate. if you don’t see the update in-app, you can download the latest build of Elements from the confirmation email you received as that link will ALWAYS give you the latest version.
Give Feedback on the Beta
If you are using the beta, please post all feedback in the Elements Beta Feedback Forum . You can use the Elements > Send Feedback… menu item to automatically pre-fill the build number into a new topic.
Get the Beta
If you’ve already signed-up for the beta, it might be a while before you get an email as we’re working our way through all the feedback. Hang tight for a little longer, you will get access in the coming weeks and months. If you’re not on the list, you should sign-up up here to be notified when the beta is publicly available.
