I migrated from Chillidog to Elements Hosting this weekend. It took me less than an hour to proceed. I’m surprised that your solution doesn’t provide the quick setup option we could download in Chillidog to create the FTP connection… I’m not sure you know what I’m referring too, though. I think this should have been done from day one, since you are the makers of the entire ecosystem.
Well done I’m in process of doing the same - who are using for emails now?
Yep you are talking about the magic link that we set up for Chillidog before they sold out.
Chillidog is using cPanel, we are not, so the set up process is a bit different. We are working on it though, thanks for the feedback. ![]()
Awesome, happy to hear you got everything moved over and set up quickly, and that things feel snappier here. ![]()
If there’s anything I can help with don’t hesitate to reach out, and welcome to Elements Hosting! ![]()
We recommend and use Fastmail, they are excellent ![]()
Thanks I’m with Chillidog/ Exact and I’m moving over to you so I have one domain to open my account with help of @differentdan and I’m about to move over my main three which gave 11 email addresses.
Fast mail sadly to me are rubbish as I contacted them by phone had a person email saying I was the point of contact. Then they told me about multiple domain names as I have 7 or 8 to host when all is done.
Sadly after 4 weeks, numerous emails I’m still waiting on a response on how to add the multiple domains as plan they set up for me doesn’t allow this.
I was just curious to see who other people with Chiilidog are moving over to? Exact have a new name from me not allowed here!![]()
Their support is non existent and I can not use my main domain for anything at moment as all the information I had to wait 2 weeks for doesn’t work and I’m fed up waiting!
Aloha Paul,
I also tried Fastmail and found it to be junk, so I went with Zoho Mail, and it is working great and the price is right, plus they let me use my own domain name. Daniel had recommended them to me.
But I ended up setting up most of my email accounts using iCloud. This allows me to use my own domains and create three email accounts under each domain. Works a treat.
Most of the people I am helping are either using their iCloud Mail since they are already subscribing to either iCloud+ or Apple One, and Apple lets you use your own custom domain names (up to 5 I think) with iCloud+ and Apple One subscriptions, or they are using Fastmail. I just helped a customer today get their new Fastmail account set up and working, so if you need help with it let me know and we can do a Zoom call to help get you set up.
Zoho Mail is a third alternative in the event people want something other than or in addition to the above options.
Robin thanks so to understand I have three emails on my main account something.com I can set up these on iCloud? Still using the the something.com email addresses? If so need to talk. I started, after a phone call with Zoho, to set up the free account today but it was asking me to put code on to website or in html etc. Sadly I can not do that as I have mo access to any sites through CPanel as I have a support request - 3 weeks now - with exact as they changed server gave me new FTP details and alls I get is “this domain is not available” errors. That’s another reason to continue changing over to RWH as I’ve already set up and moved one over. Until I get email sorted I’m stuck to get rid off Exact. TIA
Great so now I can research this as I have iCloud and Apple one. TIA
Aloha Paul, the process is fairly simple to move your domain to iCloud; they walk you through the whole process. The only slightly tricky part is getting the correct DNS records setup. If your domain is hosted with Cloudflare, iCloud will do that for you once you give it permission.
I also use the iCloud email addresses for my contact forms, which works great.
Yes, you can have up to three email addresses for each domain, and you can have five domains. All of the mail comes into your iCloud account so it makes managing your email a bit simpler. I have a lot of email addresses, and it has made things a lot easier.
If you need to get a contact form setup with iCloud, let me know and I can help you with the settings. The key thing to remember with doing this is that you need to generate an app-specific password to use in the contact form.
Robin all my emails are with Chilli/Exact, my next problem is I have about 6/7 parked domains and don’t know where to put them as not being used at moment. Sad that I am but I bought my four grandkids their own domains when they were born as you never know!![]()

They’re too young for them yet!
I have some parked domains as well, which I moved over from Chillidog to Elements Hosting, Daniel helped me with that part of it. The only thing to bear in mind when you move them is that you will have to pay the annual fee, but it will tack the time onto any remaining time that is currently on the domain.
