Another critical CVE (critical vulnerability) was published that is making the rounds on various tech and security news/blog sites. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how this affects us, and how we have mitigated this CVE so our customers’ accounts, websites, and data are safe and protected from these specific exploits.

CVE‑2026‑43284 and CVE‑2026‑43500 - (dubbed as “Dirty Frag”), when chained together, could allow an unprivileged attacker to achieve root privileges on Linux distributions.

Elements Hosting Mitigation - We have implemented the mitigation listed on the official Ubuntu blog here Dirty Frag Linux kernel local privilege escalation vulnerability mitigations | Ubuntu and have verified successful installation of that mitigation across our server fleet.
