I am considering migrating websites to another Hosting service.
The Elements bot suggests Chillidog.
I notice that Elements indicates it has a hosting service. “Elements Hosting was created for one simple reason: to give RapidWeaver Elements users a better, easier, and more reliable place to host their websites.”
I see no hosting plans listed. Is this a future endeavor? Is it now available?
I have used Chiilidog for years I can only say positive things and Greg (@barchard ) and his team offer amazing support! Nice to @elementsbot has good taste!
I switched from my former hosting provider to Chilidog a few months ago. First, Elements runs better and faster on chilidog. The customer response is excellent. I can only say good things about them and wish I had made the switch sooner.
We’re still putting the finishing touches on our hosting service, however we are already hosting some of our own personal sites there and the performance, speed, ease of use, and tight integration (since we control both the app and the hosting) has been fantastic in our testing. It all just works well together, no-hassle, no fuss. We want our customers to focus on building their best websites with Elements, not trying to become server administrators fighting with hosting accounts and web servers to get things working.
A bit more work to do, but we will likely be taking on a few beta testers towards the beginning of February (just one week away), and of course they’ll likely get a beta testers discount for a period of time.
Anyway if you want to be an earlier beta tester feel free to drop me a DM here on the forum or send an email to support@realmacsoftware.com letting me know.
If you are looking for something right this very instant, Chillidog is a good choice too.
If you have any questions feel free to let me know.
The company location doesn’t matter so much nowadays (unless you have reasons against a specific location). Servers can be provisioned globally now so just pick a server that’s closest to you or your website visitors and you’re good to go.
I use a company called wehostmacs.com for all my sites and I also have some servers I co locate with them Services is great over the years and they actually use Rapidweaver for most of their sites even the your control panels they give you access to are built with rapid weaver so if you have issues they are a great resource being they now rapid weaver. They are watching elements mature and are looking at moving to that in the future.
You got it! I’ll get you added to the early beta testers list. Thanks for volunteering and we look forward to your feedback once we get rocking and rolling!
