Ok, maybe it’s me but I can not get any Elements websites to look like my simple Blocs sites.
Why there are not simple layout components like two column structure or three column structure is beyond me. I understand some designers want a very granular way to build and manage their sites but I have found that you can not drag and drop a site quickly like you can in Blocs.
Believe me I’ve tried and I’ve watched Dan build websites but they never seem to be as easy to build as my Blocs websites.
I really want Elements to work for me and maybe I’m just missing a few basic steps but I really don’t get Elements.
If Dan or someone could post their work files for the websites he builds in the YouTube videos maybe I’ll make the connections.
These sort of built in components were in the earlier betas. @Dan has indicated they’re working on, expanding and improving them, and they’ll be coming back in the future.
It is also worth bearing in mind that Elements is still a PRIVATE BETA, whereas Blocs is already at what version 5. So it is a lot more mature and has had a lot of time to add all of the niceties.
I have worked extensively with Blocs, and for me Elements is more intuitive, even in this early stage.
