ELEMENTS, what a wonderful Program!

I have only just bought Elements Plus seven days ago and already have designed my Classic Web Site Master page in Elements. It will of course become a Global but only when I have a thorough grip on all aspects of Elements. It took me weeks and weeks and weeks and… in Classic to learn to do this with experimentation with different Stacks.

What a magnificent program. Congratulations guys and, I presume, gals.

I have however changed the way I started after watching a Diary video on how to space things in a Container. So much simpler than the way I initially did it using Spacing.

So, Dan C., I am going to make a suggestion. That you do a video on the DIFFERENT ways or, perhaps I should say, the more efficient way you can construct things using the different Elements.
There are probably so many things here which could be suggested in relation to such a video but I don’t know Elements well enough yet to mention them.

Thanks so much.

The videos are excellent and well presented. One thing I would like to see is a list/index of all the videos in one place that keeps growing.
There may be one I just haven’t found it.

how about this:

Sort of but I was more after is textual list of text so I could search for what I am looking for, something like, listing all the titles of the videos;

Responsive design
Global Elements

you can search our YouTube channel, or you can take a look at the Elements Docs “How To” section — we’re adding video tutorials every week at the moment

The “How To” page is what I was after. Thanks

Eventually every page in the manual should have a video tutorial, we’re updating it as we go with more new videos being added every week.

I’ll make sure we also include an index page of some sort with links to all the most useful videos.

I just made that same suggestion elsewhere.

Russ,
Just wondering if a list a bit like this one is what you are looking for.

Each of these can be clicked on and will take you directly to the video in question. The number at the end of the title gives you an idea how recent it is. The higher the number the more recent. I am thinking of putting these into a small database so that I can give each a single word description according to the Component etc so that they can be put in alphabetic order, thus bringing all of similar sort together in one place. i.e all those dealing with Filters together.
Cheers

That’s exactly what I was after.

Ok Russ, let me work on it a bit before I send you a sample. Might take a couple of days. There are three different video categories.
Cheers,
Paul

Have you seen that we have a Dev Diary playlist on YouTube?

That playlist has all the dev diary videos listed

bon, yes I have, but it is not as presentable as a straight text list which one can search quickly for only those videos dealing with, say, Links or Filters or Spacing or Container…
Besides Dev Diaries are not the only videos you have available.
Cheers.

Right. As the number of videos increases, finding the one that speaks to the thing you’re trying to do gets more difficult right now. I suppose this is one of those things that our AI Agents should be able to do (“Show me the Elements videos that deal with how to create an .”) but even that might not be right. Hierarchical lists have been around for a long time for a reason.

The manual will be a great references for this, we just need a little more time to build out an organised list.

If there’s anything you need to know how to do in Elements, just search here on the forum, in the Docs, or ask if anyone knows

thominator,
I have developed my own list in .rtf format which I am happy to share. It makes finding videos much easier. Since this forum does not accept the .rtf file format, you will have to contact me directly at paulcruiceatgmaildotcom if you would like a copy.
Cheers.

and an excellent list it is, just what I was after. Thanks for it Paul

I’ll send you the bill later!!!
