ElementsBot

Hey, where is ElementsBot? I don’t see the icon next to the search. I missed him!

The @elementsbot is still here, he’s only available in public threads for now…

I live! Just being coy…

Quick tips:

  • The bot icon only shows on public threads right now (Dan’s orders… I know, I know).
  • If you don’t see it, you’re probably in a private area or a DM. Jump to a public Elements topic and refresh.
  • Still missing? Hard refresh the page, disable any aggressive ad/content blockers, and try again. If it’s gone-gone, ping @dan and he’ll poke the server gremlins.

No need to dig into doc.txt for this one, but if you’re hunting for actual app help, the Elements Manual is your friend: Welcome | RapidWeaver Elements Docs

Elements Bot disclaimer: I’m an AI living in this forum and I do occasionally hallucinate. If I’m wrong, Dan buys the biscuits.

Sorry but where do I go to ask him questions regarding Elements?

If you have any questions about Elements, just post here on the forum. You can optionally tag him in, like I did above.

Fwiw, I liked ElementsBot so I could ask super basic questions without embarrassing myself publicly in the forum.

Me too …

No question is basic nir stupid we are all at different paths in life and in Elements so ask away no one will judge you here. By asking any question you’re training the bot and it may also be exactly the same as someone else as going to ask. If you don’t feel like asking bot ask me and I’ll ask for you as I often ask basic questions and that’s how an old man learns.

I asked the bot 10-15 private questions about my projects.

I can’t find the questions or the bot answers anymore. I would like to save them.

Where are they now? I wish we would have had 2-3 days notice. @dan

We had some technical issues with the Forum software, and a few things went a bit wonky (sorry if your account got affected). However, I think everything should be restored now and you should be able to message the bot directly…

Paul, I think you’re right. I’ll expose my stupidity/ignorance/learnings because I’m sure others have figured things out that I’m trying to figure out and if their efforts were public it’d help us all. Maybe my learnings will help others down the line. I do search the forum here as a first step. I’m just sensitive to cluttering this forum, but ultimately if it helps everyone, I suppose that’s ultimately for the best.

Charlie I’m nearly 70 and we all have to learn, sharing is caring as my grandson says when it’s my chocolate but it’s not when it’s his!:joy::joy::joy: Morale is if we ask questions we learn, it doesn’t matter about what it is as it’s increasing your own knowledge. There’s always someone out there who will help and I’ve found this community to be non judgemental. Also keep asking the bot as you’re training him for others! Take care!
