ETA for Elements CMS

Howdy! :cowboy_hat_face:

I don’t want you @dan to feel pressured to release a product before it’s ready. You have a plan—this is just me trying to plan my own schedule as well. A couple of quick questions:

  1. Do you—or does anyone @ben—have an ETA for the release of a solid version of the amazing Elements CMS, with or without the built-in UI? I’m not asking about the online version.
  2. Is there a plan—and if so, an ETA—for a super simple built-in email newsletter feature? Something like a once-a-week update about new posts, etc. I host with Chillidog and would definitely be open to integrating with Chillinews. What do you think, Greg? @barchard

Thanks!

Already asked for and answered for HTML newsletter https://elements.nolt.io/102

Fair and thank you for directing us to that. I’m still hoping Greg will answer and discuss a plan or solution.

No problem add your upvote and gets lots to do it! Dan might change his mind then!:joy::joy::joy:

@elementsbot can you read Bens mind? If so can you answer when is CMS coming?:joy::joy:

@Flash my plan is to get my GridIron out the door then start working on FormsPlus. I can integrate Chillinews with FormsPlus if that’s what you’re interested in?

@barchard I’m not sure what grid iron is. A secure form would be appreciated and news is the only thing keeping me from choosing Elements. (Other than not being released yet, lol) Otherwise I have to go with Wordpress. Which is fine, just not as fun and I am told a server resource hog.

Found grid iron. Spreadsheet integration. Clever tool. But I just need a great form and a subscription newsletter.

You can use the built-in Forms Webhook feature for this! When someone signs-up on your form the webhook fires to the third-party newsletter service and subscribes them. Alternatively you could also send the webhook via Zapier, this opens up infinite possibilities to work with pretty much any service on the internet

Yeah, wouldn’t have a clue how to do that. Sounds expensive with a bunch of layers.

Hi @barchhard, would that be FormsPlus for Elements? I have been using FormsPlus for RWC and it is just brilliant. Will be great if we can get the same for Elements

Thanks my plan! I’ve had to do a lot more work on GridIron than I anticipated to automate a lot of backend grunt work. I’m spending the time now to make things easier in the future
