Exact Hosting - there is hope

As a Chillidog customer trying to negotiate the new regime under Exact Hosting, I thought I’d share the process that finally worked for me.

As of today, if you have a query do the following.

  1. Log into your Chillidog account and then raise the ticket there. This will be picked up by the Exact Hosting people.
  2. They will email you with a solution or ask for further info. Reply to the email (they seem to have switched off their over-enthusiastic spam filters which would routinely flag emails as containing a virus. If you get that problem, go back to the support ticket page and tell them).
  3. Their customer service people are not very technical so while they’re able to help with some issues, they won’t be able to fix errors like the one I experienced.
  4. If that’s the case, ask to be referred to a systems engineer - I spoke to Jesse Richardson - he was very helpful to the extent of setting up a video call - and fixed the problem.

They’re aware that the transition from Chillidog to Exact has been a bumpy ride, but are trying to help. If you’re struggling to get hold of them, try the above route. It worked for me.

Seems like a lot of hassle when people could just host with us and not have to deal with all that nonsense. :slightly_smiling_face:
