Dan long story Exact hosting changed something in the last 12 days, CMS on line reports ext_sodium missing, it was working back 12 days ago, I tested different setups many times. Now does not work. Last 3 days of communications has got nowhere. Too frustrated to continue the dialogue.
I started to sign up to Elements Hosting, the sign up screen has a lot of fields needing completing to transfer my my domain. The domain transfer is locked according to the settings. I only use this for testing so not really worried about the address only 3 months left before I would have to renew. A new domain is not a problem for me if it makes it easier for me to sign up.
Easier if I could keep though, then I dont need to change a load of links I have
I just assume I request cancel the Exact service and just start with Elements
Sorry to hear about the issues at Exact hosting, but I’m not surprised, pretty much everybody I’ve migrated over have told me similar horror stories.
Regarding the domain name transfer, I think you were at Chillidog before right? If so the domain names are still managed in Chillidog’s Billing Panel. The domain name can be unlocked from there, and the EPP transfer code can also be requested from there. That’s all we need really in order to transfer the actual domain name registration over to us.
In the meantime though, you don’t need to actually start the domain name transfer process when ordering the hosting. You can just select this option and then you can update your domain nameservers to point to ours. You would change those nameservers in Chillidog’s Billing Panel as well.
