Hi, Since I installed the Elements beta, Timemachine has become extremely slow for its backups. I’m talking several minutes for a few dozen megabytes where it used to take a few seconds for more than a gigabyte. Have other testers noticed the same thing?
First thing I would look for is do you have any DMG mounted then make sure in sharing your not changing your machine name
Nope, no DMG and no change name.
this is odd change TM is looking through changed files on the entire system.
What do you use for maintenance on your Mac. I use clean my Mac x once a week to clear out all the rubbish.
I’m not sure what’s going on here, but I’m 99.9% sure it’s a coincidence and nothing to do with Elements…
I use Intego suite. I do believe in an Elements problem. Everything worked fine until I started to use it. I’ve just reformatted my external ssd (4to crucial) and I removed TimeMachine.plist and restart. New first time machine 30 minutes estimated, normal. I will see after.

Hi, timemachine.plist seems to have been the problem, I destroyed… hmm erased it with calm and serenity 
and voila 
. First time I encounter this issue, last I hope

Plist files get corrupted from time to time it happens but not often, just have to reset the app settings if they are not default.
