Some of the latest AI image generation services are getting pretty good. For anyone that uses the, can I get some recommendations? I don’t mind buying credits.
I haven’t done extensive testing, but have gotten results I really like with Apple’s Playground app using the ChatGPT option. (This requires iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled.) My other go-to app is Starryai for iPhone and iPad. I use Affinity for modification and cleanup.
My avatar is an early example. More recently, I’ve created images for cards (both printed and via text) and t-shirt designs. Some are pure AI, others are from my photos merged into a generated background.
I spent 70+ years wanting to be an artist, but never had the hand-eye coordination to make it work. AI is finally the tool I needed to create what I couldn’t draw or paint.

You might consider working on your Mac and not online. I use sogni.ai for OSX (you buy the perpetual app) with free templates. Then if you want more they offer other products (Sogni Studio Pro) but the free models ( you must downalod each, everything is handled by the app, no code or boring dependencies like for other offline models.) work well.
