I’m using font resources in one of my projects and decided to replace them with the official WOFF2 versions from Google. However, the fonts are listed by weight instead of type (except for regular and italic). When I add all of these to Elements the only weights I can use are the REGULAR and ITALIC, none of the other weights work.
Is there something that I’m doing wrong?

I also noticed that there does not appear to be support in Elements for THIN weights. Well there is no option in the Weight dropdown when viewing the font resources.
I would also recommend only including the font weights you need, If you use 9 different weights on your site then the browser will need to download them all… and that can add up quickly. I did a quick check on the Rubik test font and it’s over 2MB
You’ve probably saturated the cataloging with italic versions.
You should only upload fonts that match Elements’ cataloging system (generally, you don’t need to include them all), and skip the italic version if you don’t need it.
@dan I’m using the Poppins font and all of the fonts only total 184 KB.
I have checked the assignment of the font weights in the resources, I’m assuming these will carry over when I add them to the theme studio.
Sure would be nice if you could scroll the font list in the theme studio. Also it would be very handy if you could drag in a folder of fonts, having to do them individually is painful.
What about THIN fonts as I notice there is no cataloging option for them?
We’ll be focusing on the app in the new year, so it will be done as part of that work… can’t say exactly when that particular item will be done, but it’s high on the list!
