Hello everyone!
As the year draws to a close, I’m still struggling a bit with sending emails. To give some background, I had been using Hosteurope as my email provider for years without any problems until someone there—Hosteurope now belongs to GoDaddy—decided that everything had to be handled via Microsoft365. So everything that had been working perfectly before was migrated. From my point of view, this is simply rape.
In the meantime, I have converted the last website from RW9 classic to RW Elements, which has worked out quite well so far. The last item for now is the contact page, which should be quite simple in principle, but that’s the thing with the word “should”!
For the sake of simplicity, I used the form component and entered all the relevant server data. Unfortunately, nothing happens! Shouldn’t an email be sent after pressing the “Send” button? Doesn’t that require a “send command”?
I’ve consulted the user manual and GitBook Assistant countless times, but I’m still stuck. It doesn’t help me if it says something about webhooks, Zapier, etc. That may be interesting for many people, but for me it’s just additional ballast.
I sometimes get the feeling that certain things are only developed because it’s possible to do so, regardless of how useful they are. See also the involuntary migration to Microsoft.
So—now I’ve vented enough and wish everyone a great New Year’s Eve party. Maybe someone will have the time and inclination to give me a tip on how to solve my problem.
Cheers (as Dan always likes to say) or Happy New Year!
