Elements CMS is new, improving and just about to have a major change in v2 coming out next week or so (SHORTLY) have a look at the release and videos. (link below)
There will be a new add on hopefully this year where you can add/access through a panel remotely which will help.
But as you know already Stacks and Elements are totally different platforms and don’t mix as such. If you have elements download the Microblog and look also at Dans DevDiaries to see how things work, but remember they will be changed for the good when v2 Elements comes out.
Hey Paul. Happy new year. Camper now has a pop top roof that cost as much as the van.
I realise they are two very different platforms but looking as whether TCMS 3 is an option or Elements, it looks likely that some learning will have to take place this year one way or another.
Making comparisons could probably be misleading. Besides the fact that they are different platforms, their development ages are very different. The results achievable are different, as is the time required to design a professional CMS site for professionals and companies.
Elements offers native solutions , and this is certainly an advantage for those who want to play with a CMS , and as you said, V2 will bring some new features
THANKS - I have known Guy for years - hence familiarity and I was suggesting he watches video on v2. I think he already has Elements so hence suggestion of microblog.
I do appreciate what you have said though! Keep up your excellent work and have a great weekend!
I suggest that you download my (currently) free Little Book of Elements CMS and read it. You can have as many pages as you’d like, and yes, it can be used as a blog element.
The current shortcoming of the Elements CMS is simply that it has no external page creation (i.e., you can’t add pages while in a Web browser, you have to do that in Elements). However, we’re promised that will be an optional Component at some point.
I have one site already using Elements for the blogging, and another that’s about to appear (waiting for the 2.0 drop) that will use the Elements CMS for both blogging and articles.
