Foundry 3 - Help!

Hello, I am an avid Foundry user, and have been for some while. I have a number of client projects built on Foundry 2 and 3 and I am maintaining these.

The problem - after getting a new Mac, the foundry 3 .stack file was not backed up with my other stacks file so I am left with sites that are built on foundry 3, but no means to edit them!

Elixir Graphics is gone, and there is no way I can see to download old purchases. Does anyone have a solution (other than rebuilding everything from scratch!!!)???

Sure, here’s a download link — it’s only valid for 3 days as it’s on WeTransfer.

Perhaps now might also be a good time to start exploring Elements for future projects!

Thank you so much, you are a life saver!

This has certainly put my reliance on Foundry into perspective, so will not use Foundry for new projects anymore. Time to review what I use in the future…

Definitely staying with Rapidweaver, so I will take a look at Elements and have a play around!

Thanks, again!

@rossnet Hi, as I have been using Foundry exclusively for my clients and now switched to Elements, I can be of help if needed. And if you need to port complete sites, we can do so as a paid service at https://classic-to-elements.com.

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks, Jan, appreciate the offer. I will have a play with Elements independently to begin with, but will give you a shout if I need support with transferring existing sites over.

How does Elements compare to Foundry+Alloy? Does it have alternatives to most of the stacks and functionality?

Yes, it has pretty much everything you need built-in, it’s also a true WYSIWYG editor that once you get used too, there’s no going back

Check out the getting started video for a quick look at how things work in Elements…

You can also download a free trial to get comfortable with how it all works before you purchase, there’s no time-limit to the trial so you can take your time
