Would it be possible to make it so the captions for images can show up in the lightbox but not underneath the preview? The preview images look really cool without text underneath but if someone wants to know more, they can click the image, see the lightbox, and read the caption information below the lightboxed image. This was how the stack I used on my RWC site worked and I was wondering if this could be added in an update?
Agree - I would love to see a caption on a lightbox image - seems a real oversight to me
think they are developing a pro version that will include that
Yes, the Pro Gallery should be available later this week in the Elements Store![]()
And I’m sure it will be wonderful however, I just want an image to have a caption and I’m not sure I’m asking too much !?
If you want to display a single image in a lightbox with a caption, you can already do this using the built in Modal component ![]()
For multiple images, the standard Gallery component supports titles and captions shown beneath each thumbnail.
If you specifically want captions to appear inside the lightbox for a gallery, that functionality is part of the upcoming Pro Gallery, which should be landing in the Elements Store very soon.
