I am creating several pages containing the Gallery Pro component featuring many images on each page.
I want to be able to navigate to and open these pages using a sub gallery page.
I have made a collection of sub galleries, one for each page but when I click the sub gallery thumb (link), it opens a lightbox effect for its Gallery pro page.
I would like to be able to click the sub gallery link and open the full Gallery Pro page with all the thumbs. No lightbox
THEN the user can click on those thumbs for the lightbox effect.
This was achieved in Classic using a column Stack then linking the thumbs to photo album pages.
Instead of using sub-folders as “clickable albums,” you turn each sub-folder into a real page.
1 Make a new RapidWeaver page for each sub-folder
• Example: Sub-folder “Gallery 1” → page named “Gallery 1”
2 Put a Gallery Pro component on each of those pages
• Configure it so that component shows only the images from that one sub-folder
3 On your main grid page, link the sub-gallery thumbnail to the real page
• So clicking “Gallery 1” takes you to the “Gallery 1” page (full page), not the lightbox.
Yes that’s what I need, thanks. I tried some grid options, but I was not getting it.
But wouldn’t it be more elegant and efficient if you could just link to a Gallery Pro sub gallery and not be forced to open a lightbox that you can’t escape from?
Another problem with forced lightbox from the sub gallery link is there are no captions on the lightbox thumbs, so not only can you not look at the entire page, you can’t see the captions except by scrolling through all the thumbs. This could be very inconvenient when directing a client to a specific photo of artwork.
If you click on my modals link for sustainability you can open a full page https://www.ezyasabc.co.uk and you can use multi modals to open as many pages as you want within that page. But I see Dan has given you a solution above.
