Might a future update to Gallery Pro include a watch folder option? I’d like to be able to make changes to images in the linked folder so that caption edits, new photos, or deleted photos would be reflected without the need to relink/reimport the photos.
I thought you could do it via resources….I just added an author and it showed in the gallery?
want to add a phot just drag one in and it will pop up in gallery pro component

I added two new photos to the folder linked to my Gallery. It did not update. I had to relink the folder and resort the images. I did not try editing any captions. My preference would be for Gallery Pro to add any images I put in the folder and keep the same sort order.
when I added photos to an already populated folder I dragged the new one to the top and thats where it appeared in my gallery. cant say more than that really.
Thanks. I’ll try that. Generally, when I make changes to the photos in a folder there are multiple changes.
That assumes you use the fields in resources. I prefer to source that info directly from the images so I can use it in other places.
You need to drag the new images to the resources folder in the app. If you change an image then you can right click on the image and replace it. It would be nice if Elements had a refresh option to just do that but it doesn’t.
