+1 for Elements Hosting. I moved across from Chillidog / Exact a few weeks ago and the service from @differentdan has been astonishingly good. In some cases, he gave me solutions to problems I’d not even noticed yet. Oh and Reactor is so much better than cPanel.
I hear you, but it’s just not great to try and bundle email hosting with web hosting, there are so many issues with it, and to be honest it’s kind of a remnant of the past that web hosts offer nowadays strictly for legacy purposes.
Modern web hosting providers are decoupling their email hosting from their web hosting nowadays, for good reason.
Anyway, that shouldn’t stop you as there are a lot of great third-party email hosting providers (some free, some paid) that you can use for your email hosting needs.
I’ve helped a lot of customers get their email accounts switched over to some of those free or paid providers with minimal fuss, and their emails are working flawlessly (much better than they would if they were hosted at the web hosting provider).

Just about a year ago I was having issues with my Hosting company UK2 and you recommended Chillidog Hosting which I transferred my sites over to with no problems. Chillidog has now been taken over by another hosting company which I’m still not sure about? My domains are coming up for renewal very soon. What can Realmac offer?
Do you mean a 5 year contract? We don’t offer hosting “licenses”. We also don’t try to lock you into a 5 year contract (that’s a lot for web hosting ). Actually we don’t even do contracts, who needs more of those?!
Regarding pricing, it it true we are not the cheapest out there, however we decided from the beginning we are not going to participate in a race to the bottom on pricing, as that’s a losing game and quite often you’re going to get what you pay for when playing it.

Chris I was with Chiilidog for years and had no problems until thy sold out to Exact, one of my main worries was email. However I now have them all hosted on my apple Mail account. It makes my life so much easier and its “free” as I already have Apple Mail and there wa sno extra cost in having them move to there.

Like others here I am starting to agree that separate hosting for email and web is probably a good idea. I also was already paying for an Apple iCloud+ account, so using it for email made perfect sense.
If this is what you’re looking for and you have iCloud+, go to icloud.com and sign in. Under iCloud+ Features there is a Custom Email Domain tab where you can add your own domain.
