Grey area around the sides of a page

How do I set this area around the sides of a page to a colour other than white. The grey area in this first screenshot and the off-white area in the second screenshot are what I am talking about.

You currently can’t change the dark grey colour outside of the editor, that’s part of the app.

We could add an option to change that… just curious as to why you wanted to change that area?

In your second screenshot I’m not sure how you’re setting that light grey colour — is it part of your page design, it’s a bit hard to see as you’ve cropt the image so tightly… Did you set your mac UI to high-contrast?!

The white/light-grey colouring is what I have on my version of Elements and I wanted to change it to the dark grey. If it is not changeable, then I have to wonder why mine is white. I much prefer the dark grey.

Might be a good idea that it is changeable then.

Oh, that was the old editor, it has since been updated and is now the lighter grey colour.

That being the case I would suggest that a method of changing this bordering colour would be admirable. I much prefer a darker colour to give distinction to the page one is building. You could make it a noticeably lighter grey, just so it is distinctive. The current light grey is bearably distinguished from white.

Understood, we’ll see what we can do

Have you tried running the editor in dark mode? (Elements/Settings/General)

Hopefully this new setting in today’s build is exactly what you’re after!
