I am following the instructions to drag and drop the URL of a Vimeo Video into resources. The Vimeo video doesn’t appear to make it into the project. Anybody else having the same problems?
What are you trying to do here? Do you want Vimeo to host the video or do you want to host a video that’s currently stored on Vimeo?
If you’re trying to put a remote video into your local resources, you right-click in the appropriate place in your Resources panel and you paste in the Vimeo URL, I believe.
Thanks for writing back. The video is already hosted in my Vimeo account. I have tried several ways of getting it into the project. I think I properly demonstrated what was in the video instructions for the component. Maybe I am doing something wrong or misunderstood something. Video | RapidWeaver Elements Docs
You’re correct. Dragging the Vimeo links isn’t working at the moment.
In resources, right click and select add remote resource, paste in your Vimeo video page url and click ok.

What Vimeo video url are you trying? If I try copying the url you show in your video
https://vimeo.com/746675742/ it yields “video not found” in the browser, which suggests to me it may be marked as private?
Thank you for confirming this works. Once you confirmed that it worked, I went back and checked the video on Vimeo. It was set to only play from that link. Yep, I somehow missed this. But note that Vimeo has other options besides marking a video “private.” To work with Elements it appears that you must explicitly choose the option of “public,” not any of the other ones.
