Having Trouble with Type Styles and Numbered Lists In Markdown

I added some code to the CSS section of my blog to enable it to display numbered lists and highlight things. The code was shared with me by a helpful hand on the forum.

The downside is that I can no longer use number lists in markdown files. In addition, the type style in my bulleted list is different from the plain text. I am not sure what I did or how to correct it. Does anybody know CSS to know if this messed things up or how it can be fixed so the numbered lists and regular text have the same type style?

[&_ul]:list-disc
[&_ul]:pl-4
[&_ul]:mt-3
[&_ul]:mb-3
[&_ul_li]:my-1
[&_ul_li]:marker:text-gray-500
[&_ul_a]:text-blue-600
[&_ul_a:hover]:text-blue-800

You can style numbered (ordered lists) with this code, for example:

[&_ol]:list-decimal
[&_ol]:pl-4
[&_ol]:mt-3
[&_ol]:mb-3
[&_ol_li]:my-1
[&_ol_li]:marker:text-gray-500
[&_ol_a]:text-blue-600
[&_ol_a:hover]:text-blue-800

If you let us know exactly what you want things to look like, we should be able to help further

Tip. If you want instant help, you can ask ChatGPT for html/tailwind code, it’s especially good at this stuff!

That is great! I will give it a try!

After looking at things more closely on my big screen, the description text is grey. The bullet point text is black. It would be nice to get them the same color.

I will check out ChatGPT!
