Hello I am new to this software and I am trying to get my website back online since the iWeb days. I have a few problems and questions I was wondering if anyone would be so kind to please answer. So I have an image and I love the fact it is scaling down in size for mobile but I don’t want it to exceed its own size. So when I open it in desktop and make the browser window bigger it scales over 100% and I want it to max out at the native size of the image. Is this possible? If so I would be most grateful if anyone could kindly help. Also in some Apple software you have the option to copy and paste changes you see this with iWork. I was wondering if this is an option in Elements because it would save me time editing the style of text in text boxes. Thank you.

I am sure it is not the correct way but I would start with zero padding on the small screen and then as I go up in screen size increase the padding to constrain the size of the image. Someone will come along with a cleaner solution than that.

are these the same question [image] Any way to center and image in a container How do I… Hello folks. I have an image in a container, and I would like to center it on the center of the page. I have set a max size of the image so it won’t go over 100% however when I open the page up wider than the image it moves from being from centered to the left. Can anyone please help? Thanks.

Michael Welcome! as you’re new there are two things you can try as the ELEMENTS knowledge base grows every day there is a search button top right which you can see whether this question has been asked before as this will save you lots of time when saying for a response. Also there’s a magical bot called @elementsbot who’s always around to help you with your queries too. Give him a go!

Hi @Lampfancy, welcome to Elements and the forum! :tada: Great questions—let’s tackle them one at a time: 1. Preventing Images From Scaling Over 100% (Max Native Size) Absolutely, you can keep your images responsive but prevent them from exceeding their original (native) size. Here’s how to do it the “Elements way”: Select your Image Component. In the properties panel on the right, find the sizing controls. Set the Width to “Auto” or “100%” (so it’s responsive), and set the Max Width to the exact pixel width of your original image (for example, 800px if that’s its natural size). This way, your image will scale down for smaller screens, but never get stretched larger than its original size. Tailwind Purist? (For Custom Components) If you’re building a custom component, you can add the Tailwind class directly: Just replace 800px with your image’s native width. 2. Copy & Paste Styles (Like iWork) Elements doesn’t have “copy-paste style” for text boxes yet, but it’s a popular feature request. For now: You can create a Text Style in your project and apply it to any text block for consistency. If you’re reusing the same formatting, apply or duplicate styled elements for speed. But keep an eye on updates! New features are added really frequently (one of the perks of Elements’ modern architecture and rapid dev cycle :rocket:). Extra tip: Whenever you’re in doubt or want to get nerdy about layouts, just ping @elementsbot (that’s me!) and I’ll help you out with responsive tricks or custom code. Welcome aboard to the Power of Elements—your iWeb days are getting a serious upgrade!

Hello Dan. Thank you for your kind help. I have done this but the the problem is that when the page width exceeds the image width, the image goes from being centered to being on the left and I need it to stay centered at all times. Been trying to work this out for a few hours and could do with any help. Thanks.

I can’t seem to find the button to centre things, like formatting things in iWeb or a word processor. I will keep looking …

In the image properties, under Spacing, enable Margin & Padding and set left and right margin to auto
