How do I track missing resources?

In RWC 9.6.8, I get a message that says “RapidWeaver has detected missing resources in this project.” It contains a list of 16 resources. Nine begin with “/Users/[my username]/Library/Containers . . . . etc”. Six begin with “/var/folders/ . . . .” All are marked “internal” and in all cases the legend “File is accessible” appears in green.

I cannot figure out how to relink these resources. I manage to chase the reference as far as “Data/tmp/ . . .” and trail goes cold.

How do I relink these resources?

Hi @Rich89MR1

You would just want to locate those resources on your Mac and re-link them. You wouldn’t go lookin in a directory like Data/tmp/, you’d just find the actual resource on the Mac, for example if the resources are images and they are stored in your Pictures directory, then you would relink the Pictures directory, or each image from the Pictures directory, etc…

Let us know how you get on. :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t know what resources are missing by the description. The nine missing ones look like this:

/Users/richsetterberg/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver8/Data/tmp/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver8-3769/1u5pca/pasted-grar
Unknown Volume 90A7B8BE-37FA-460C-B914-EE1BBC88CD54
INTERNAL
File is accessible

The others look like this:

/var/folders/jf/mk_|k9qj7zzcylvl1kp2v6ym0000gn/T/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver8/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver8-15718/Fuav60/Setterber!
Unknown Volume OCDA77E5-C145-4350-825C-B9AF027D4F2E|
INTERNAL
File is accessible

In short, I don’t know what resources to look for.

Are there any clues embedded in the above that might help?

So does anyone know where I might start looking for these missing resources? [FWIW, I have not changed computers or file organization in the last year or more.]

Maybe just select the option to remove all the resources that are missing, and then check the project file to see if you notice anything missing on the pages and re-add it if you do…
