Your ElementsBot suggests I should use the html component to embed a google map. Any timeframe on that component?
an HTML component is a custom component that you create.
If you click on the little “+” icon above the CUSTOM category in the component list a dropdown will appear with an HTML component as the fitst choice. Select that and then fill your HTML into the Template area. You can then also rename it to whatever is needed to tell you what it does.
After creating it you can then use it anywhere else you might need it, just like any other Elements component.
For anyone reading this thread and isn’t sure how to create a Custom Component for pasting in code snippets, here’s a quick video showing how to do that
Thank you @ben. Byt the fact that you even have to explain this, suggests that some improvements are needed in my view. For the uninitiated, I think it would help a lot if the code editor became visible as soon as you create or click on a HTML component. That would make it less of an expedition to try to hunt down how the code window is enabled?
Fair point about the code editor being instantly visible when adding a Custom Component. That is actually already on our list of things to improve.
All software has a learning curve, and Elements is no different. Once you get the hang of how Custom Components work, it becomes second nature. However, we’re always looking at ways to improve the experience and make things more intuitive over time
