HTML placement

Hi again

I don’t build sites with coding, and I’m still working my way around Elements after 10 or so years on Rapidweaver, but when I’m struggling to place HTML at specific places in the site.

Using the HTML containers, all of the coding results get placed together in one area, rather than where I specifically want it or place it. What’s the trick with the HTML container in this app?!

Dave for example put a container (flex/grid/modal) in the place you want the HTML snippet to appear so for example if you have a menu/hero component and you want it to appear below Hero then just drag the code snippet from the component bar into that container and it will appear on page exactly where you want it. If you are using many HTML codes for example for a shop then you can name them all from the “HTML” standard name by clicking on top of the code page and changing name or click once on name and change. This just avoids confusion later on. Hope this helps if it doesn’t please come back.

Hi @theprotoolsguy

We have a very powerful @portal feature available in Custom Components.

An @portal allows you to place content in various areas of your site, such as the head start, head end, body start, body end, and more.

Check out the @portal docs for more information! Let us know if you have any more questions

I’ll have a look at this stuff - cheers.
