I’ve just noticed that the IMAGE component doesn’t seem to be working correctly anymore.
When I add a URL under “Custom” → Source, the image is displayed in the editor view, but it does not appear in either the local preview or the online version.
I’ve attached a screenshot and the project file.
Have tested and it works just fine here, maybe restart Elements and clear your Safari cache…
This is very strange.
It doesn’t work in any of my projects. I closed and reopened RW Elements and tried different browsers. The image is only displayed in the editor, but not locally or online after uploading.
I think I’ve found the “issue.” It’s related to Dark Mode. I generally don’t use it and have it disabled in my setup.
Since I don’t use Dark Mode, I only added the URL in Light Mode. However, if I also add the URL in Dark Mode, the image is displayed correctly. From a usability standpoint, this probably isn’t the intended behavior, is it? @dan
If you have dark mode turned on in your project, then yes, you currently need to specify the remote image for both!

Well in that case, it sounds like a bug to me. I’ll create a ticket here to look into this.
In the meantime, perhaps try adding the image as a Remote Resource to the Resource area and use it that way.
