Now only at Alt ”Used for SEO and accessibility”.
I’ve created a ticket to implement this. It’s a lot more work than it may appear as it touches a lot of different parts in Elements. We’d need to update the UI in the app, add it to the public API, and then support it in all components.
Not to mention the fact that you might lose your existing alt text as that option would be removed in favour of the alt field in the media inspector.
Anyway, we’ll look into this soon. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Perhaps adding an on/off button to protect old alt texts already published? @dan
It may be easier to implement sooner than it will a year or more down the track when issues compound - appreciate that it’s not easy though !!
