Thanks! It looks as if I can use your header on all my pages.
I want to make it into a global, but the instructions for making a global do not link to anything.
When I click on the link for globals (attached) nothing happens.

Have done that, and I expected to see my banner + page names at top of each separate web page - but it did not happen.
You have to individually place the global on each page you want to see it, or am I not understanding what you are asking / saying??
OK - that worked.
I appreciate your help. Now - just one more thing: How do I make the page names link to their actual pages, so that I can click on the name and automatically go to that page? That works on our current website.
That should just work, since it is the menu component and is formed by the pages that you create. They should already be linked
Yes - the page names are visible, like in your photo. Your Menu addition seems to handle that.
But they do not appear to be linked for navigation from one to another.
Not understanding what you mean.
They will only work when you preview the site, not in Elements itself if I get what you are asking.
The page names have disappeared.
Attached: one pic shows current website, with page names at top, and they are linked to actual pages.
Other file is pic of current Elements file to reproduce this. Page names no longer visible.
That is the node browser that you are showing, which shows components on one page. You need to look at the page browser which shows all pages. Icon of a page at top.
Those are the ‘pages’ that are in the website at this time. Whether there is any content in them depends on whether you have added any content to any particular page. The pages are Home, Karyn Traut, About Perihelion, and Production. Those are also the pages that are listed in the menu component.
Widen the editor view port and you will see the menu of pages. It is currently the hamburger menu. Once the screen is wide enough you will see them.
would be a lot easier if you provided a download link of your project
But - for me, those page names only show in the page menu at left.
They do not show under the banner, in the middle, where they appear in our current RW8 website.
Other problem: I am still unable to produce the 2 column feature where I have text on the left, and an image to the right, side by side.
I have tried 2 column, flex, etc, but they are never side by side, always vertical
I am not adding content to the pages until these early features are established.
Would be easier if you provide a download to your project even if just one page
Click on the larger screens and you will see the full menu. It collapses on the smaller screen sizes to the hamburger menu you see.
OK - that worked. But I see no evidence that these names are linked to the pages.
Also - still need help with 2 column side by side.
Click the preview icon (safari icon above and to the right of the screens icons) to preview in Safari and the links will work. They don’t work in the editor.
For a 2 column flex, make sure that the flex is set to row. If the resources or components aren’t falling into place, use the node browser to place them
