Importing Image Folders Nightmare

I’m incredibly angry that when I imported an image folder it re-ordered the images. I spent three days specifically putting hundreds of images in a specific order, only to see the order changed in a confusing manner when I imported them. I’m to point of rage, because now I have to go and slowly re-order all of the images one by one. Not happy at all.

Stop :stop_sign:

Rename items with robot or finder

Add the numbers 000001 etc…

000001photo.jpg
000002photo.jpg

Then you’ll be able to use folder sort (right click)

Thanks for the response, Mike. That’s good info to know, but it won’t help in my current situation because the titles are critical to the organization. It is a music and art portfolio site, and the titles help me when it comes to working and arranging. i.e. If the files are only numbers, that means I’d have to go back to find out what the title is of each image, which would be unnecessarily time consuming.

Unless you mean that I could put the titles where you have “photo.”

Yes put the titles where it says photo.jpg

Automator has a number script

And the finder does also

Plus, I think it’s a bit late now, since we’re talking about several hundred images.

create the folder first in resource then drag the files in and they will keep the order that the original folder had…dont drag a folder in
