Hey everybody. I want to get information about how to best integrate Menulog and UberEats into a website. I know that they want to integrate with the POS, but I can’t find any information whatsoever on how to get something onto the website so people can place orders.
I did a search here and can’t find any results mentioning Menulog or UberEats.
Of course I called Menulog to ask but they refuse to discuss it with me because I am not a client/partner.
Can anybody shed some light for me?
Hi @davelord,
I have no experience with Menulog, but for UberEats you get access to their API when you sign up as a dev with them (and tell them for which of their partners you’re working).
Using the API, you can read and write to their system using a token (that’s exclusive to your client, as it’s partner dependent).
There are currently no ready-made Stacks (or other plugins) for RapidWeaver that support this out-of-the-box, so you’ll have to code it yourself (or hire someone to do it for you).
UberEats used to have a PHP template available that you could just copy/paste into your existing webpage, but that has been quietly taken off the menu (no pun intended).
Alternatively, you could integrate a POS from one of these vendors into your site. Those vendors all offer out-of-the-box uberEats integration.
Cheers,
Erwin
Thank you Erwin,
I have relayed this to my friend. They are meeting with Uber Eats on Wednesday. Hopefully they will be able to give me a clear set of instructions.
I will post an update here when I get more info.
Cheers, Dave
