We have some exciting news to share. Elements Hosting is becoming Realmac Hosting!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be transitioning our hosting service to its new name, Realmac Hosting, and we wanted to give everyone a heads-up about the change, explain why we’re making it, and what it means for you.
Why the change?
There are two main reasons we’ve decided to make this change.
First, our hosting service has always been about more than just Elements.
While Elements Hosting was originally named to complement our Elements app, we’ve found that the name sometimes gives people the impression that our hosting service is exclusively for websites built with Elements.
That’s not the case!
Our hosting infrastructure can host websites built with RapidWeaver Classic (or prior), Blocs, Stacks 6 Beta, Sitely, and pretty much any other static website builder or generator - including AI Site Builders/Generators!
If you can build and publish a static website, chances are we can host it!
We want our hosting service to be a great home for websites built with Elements and other static website builders and generators. We feel that Realmac Hosting better reflects the flexibility of our hosting service and the wider range of website-building tools we support.
Second, we’re going back to our roots.
Realmac Software has been around for more than 20 years, and it’s a name that many of our customers have known and trusted for a long time.
Bringing our hosting service under the Realmac name just feels like a natural fit.
We’ll have Realmac Software for our apps, and Realmac Hosting for our web hosting service. Two services that complement each other nicely, all under the Realmac name.
What does this mean for existing customers?
The good news is that you don’t need to do anything! 
This is a branding change, not a change to the hosting service itself. Your websites, hosting packages, and existing services will continue working just as they do today.
As part of the transition, we’ll be updating the URLs for our Hosting Client Portal and Reactor Panel to reflect the new Realmac Hosting name.
We’ll also be putting redirects in place wherever necessary, so existing bookmarks and links will continue to take you to the right place.
We’ll take care of all the changes behind the scenes to make the transition as seamless as possible.
What about billing and invoices?
You may continue to see Elements Platform Ltd. referenced on your hosting invoices and in certain billing sections of the Client Portal while we complete the rebranding.
This is expected, and there’s nothing you need to do.
As the transition progresses, these references will eventually be updated to Realmac Software Limited.
We’ll make sure everything is updated appropriately as we move through the process.
Same hosting, new name!
While our name is changing, our commitment to providing reliable, secure, and fully managed web hosting, backed by friendly and helpful support, remains exactly the same.
We’re excited to bring our hosting service under the Realmac name, and we hope you’ll agree it’s a much better fit for what we offer today and where we’re heading in the future.
