When I deselect now my text and go back and select it again, I then see in the color field the original color of the theme and not my defined color. That has no influence on the text of the page, here everything is ok. When I am using the other self defined colours like accent, brand and surface they do not show these behaviour, they work as expected. It is only with text.
Could the problem have something to do with the fact that you have defined your custom TEXT colors in the reverse order to the NORMAL TEXT colors? Yours go from light to dark (left to right), whereas the standard ones are the opposite.
Could be @handshaper but with all the other self defined colours it’s working fine. I also thought maybe a typo in the word “text” like a hidden space or so. But I keyed in the name again and no change.
I restarted Elements and everything works.
So the problem was sitting in front of the screen
I also will change the bold marking of the text as you suggested. Don’t know why I used it today, normally I don’t do it. Maybe time to finish working.
I just replicated it again. Setup a new project as @Doobox did. The effect is as shown in his video. Then saving the file, closing Elements and open it again. The effect is gone.
This effect is shown only on “text” not on others like surface.
Maybe what @handshaper wrote is the root cause. The originally defined text colors are the only ones which go from dark to bright, all the others go from bright to dark.
