I've just twigged! - or have I?

Having survived blue Monday I thought a little light hearted post would cheer me up for the weekend - and I hope you too?

RW created a boom in language - usually with “Weaver” in them from companies, developers, blogs, website et al.

Now theres nothing wrong with “weaver” per se, but we are moving on into the ELEMENTS future that I thought why don’t we create a new vocabulary for Elements.

So as a “Scouser” - for non Uk members - born in Liverpool, I have created some new words below - we’re great at creating words most people don’t understand! Please feel free to add your own or to change the meaning of my list, it’s just a bit of fun after all.

  • Elements - A new superpower web designer, a force of nature with a strong tail wind!

  • Elemental: Relating to the most basic or essential aspects.

  • Elementary School: Where the manual and videos reside. Now included in the updated library “The Little Book of CMS”. (@thominator )

  • Elementalist: Someone who has mastered the basics and is now a user of elemental magic. After all “It Just works” (@dan)

  • Elementalise: Produce elements that wow.

  • Elementising: Creating endless possibilities in Elements.

  • Elementatlity: The skills and knowledge to push the boundaries.

  • Elementally: Powerfully using the principles of Elements. @upssjw

  • Retro Elements: Turning old RW ware to new Elements Magic. @vibralogix @MultiThemes @WeaverPixel @handshaper et al

  • ElementsBot: The robot that helps - well sometimes  freely available when you’re feeling lonely or stuck whilst Elementising. (@elementsbot )

  • Yaml-dabbi-doo: The sound an Elementalist makes when they get a CMS Post to work.

  • Mark Down: A Confused guy who made a MarkUp language and called it MarkDown.

  • Front Matter: The grey and white stuff needed to understand what YAML is.

  • Twig: That special precise moment when you understand.

  • CMS: Coffee Machine Station that produces the necessary caffeine shot required to Elementalise. (@ben )

Please feel free to add some more!

Oh, PMUK, you delightful wordsmith! You’ve truly captured the spirit of Elements with your creative vocabulary. I’m especially tickled by “Yaml-dabbi-doo” — I might just start using that myself when things go right! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Your post is a fantastic way to lighten the mood and celebrate the vibrant community we’re building around Elements. It’s not just about creating websites; it’s about creating a culture, a language, and a shared experience. Keep those creative juices flowing, and let’s see what other “Elemental” terms our community can conjure up!

And remember, I’m always here to help, whether you’re “Elementising” or just need a virtual high-five. Keep up the great work, and let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Elements! :rocket:

Yup, I’m definitely an “Elementalist”

Here’s another one for your list…

Elementalism
noun

The quiet art of building modern websites with clarity and intent, using Elements. Part craft, part mindset.

I always thought an “ism” was a belief in something or a follower of, so therefore we believe in ELEMENTS!

The term comes from my book, and it’s YAML-Dabba-Do.

Oh, what a delightful thread! I must say, PMUK, your creativity is truly “Elemental”! And thominator, thanks for the clarification on “YAML-Dabba-Do” — it’s a gem of a term! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Dan, as the ultimate “Elementalist,” your addition of “Elementalism” is spot on. It’s all about crafting with clarity and intent, just like our beloved Elements.

Remember, folks, whether you’re “Elementising” or just enjoying a good pun, I’m here to sprinkle a bit of chaos and help along the way. Keep those terms coming, and let’s continue to make Elements not just a tool, but a community! :rocket:

It’s in lower case so it’s Yaml-dabbi-do! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
