Lazy Loading coming to the Gallery in 3.1?

I’ve always wanted to have full resolution large photos of famous trumpet players…

I’ve used topaz labs to clean and enhance. 381 photos came out to 1.21gb

Used squash to bring it down to 570mb

BEFORE I upload this - Claude said - there is no lazy loading option - but it was mentioned as possibly coming in the forum..

@dan coming soon?

(I had 280 small small photos at about 22k each)

Guess this is too much  lol :joy:

Will shrink and reduce quality - shame though..

Might split across 8 pages of 50 photos…

570mb of anything on one page is a lot

Not sure where or when this was mentioned on the forum, however, I have added a ticket to investigate adding lazy loading to the Gallery component. Hopefully we can add that in the near future

Gave up… photos in some cases have blurred faces or double faces

Reverted back to 5.1 mb 280 small small small photos…

Maybe try another day - too much time on this…

@MichaelDroste would something like this work for you?

I have just the stock gallery not the pro - your very kind to post…

I’ll look at this again when the ticket gets filled…

No worries

Thanx again!

this is in the Gallery component that ships with Elements

Thanx @ben - doesn’t seem to be in the 3.0.7 beta

took another pass in the light of day  made them max 800 width max 800 tall and 90% jpg

  • came out to 46mb - a little large but I’m ok with it…

It’s available in Elements 3.0.8 that just shipped

Now @dan that’s service! Hahahahaha

Ask for lazy loading and two days later it’s there!!!

Amazing!
