License Activation failure

I am a paid up user and have installed Elements on my Mac mini M2. No issues there. I am trying to install the program on my laptop - I didn’t think there would be an issue with that - I can work on my sites while working and traveling, then use my desktop at home. However, it seems I can not activate Elements on my laptop.

Is this not permitted with my paid license? Why is the program not activating? I get “activation errors” after entering the activation code that is emailed to me.

I feel I should be able to have the program on at least two computers like most other software I own.

You should be able to put onto 3 different computers

If you go to Elements in the left upper screen and then to Registration, a small dialog box opens. Look and see how many “Activations” you still have left. If it says 3 of 3, you need to deactivate one of the activations to activate a new copy for your laptop.

I only have 1 active. I’m trying to get this on just a 2nd computer; my laptop.

I think you must be using an older version or different build. Here is what I see when I click “Registration…” in the Elements menu. I checked my account and subscription status. All are current and no indication that there are any other licenses or installs used.

Hi, this could happen if the connection is blocked by e. g. apps like little snitch or others and the activation server can not be reached.

Con you check on your laptop if this is the case?

I used the Activity Monitor to see if there was something there that might look suspicious. I don’t really see anything like “Snitch.” Also, I don’t see anything alluding to “Elements” or “RapidWeaver.” Any idea what process would be related to connecting to the activation servers?

Check what @differentdan said: “I think you might be entering the one-time Elements Cloud verification code, not your Elements app license key.”
