Lightbox does not respect image size - you get big & fuzzy

Hi - my images are blown up via lightbox to a size that makes them fuzzy

My images are 800px across. I want them to expand and show to this size … I do not want them blown up to a fuzzy 1200px across !!

Surely lightbox requires an image size target / limiter in order to operate correctly?

Indeed some people want full-page lightbox images that are super sharp. Not me - I want a sharp image that respects the resolution of the image provided - moderately sized but sharp.

Otherwise - my (intentionally smaller) sharp images are blown up to big fugly fuzzy images

Lightbox needs a target image size to expand to, no ?

apologies if you already know the dark mode needs resolving, I am always in dark mode so I notice this straightaway

Yes - it’s kind of next on my list. I did start doing this Steve - but found that my ‘light’ settings were also being changed … so I had to change them all back and then lost the will to keep my blood circulating. Are there problems with dark mode - or perhaps am I just not understanding it right ?

this explains how to setup light and dark
