Link Color Not Being Respected

I’m trying to style a link within a Text component, but it is not obeying the colors. I’ve even tried changing to different color sets (white, surface, etc) with no luck.

In the screenshot below, you can see the link in the first sentence is showing very dark. I have “Visited” also set to that middle Grey on the color picker.

Is this a known bug?

This is not a known bug, so I wonder if it’s another setting somewhere in the project that’s applying the link colour.

Can you share a sample project via Elements Cloud that display the issue so we can track it down for you?

Here’s the project: (removed after solution)

The layout is based on globals in the Templates > Blog Template page

This page with the link is Articles > Why Good Planes Sit in Strong Markets

Thanks for the project, that was super helpful!

So, it turns out this is indeed an issue with setting links in dark mode (sorry). I’ve created a ticket for this issue, and we’ll aim to get it fixed as soon as possible.

You should find setting a colour for links in light mode that also works in dark mode would be a good workaround for now:

Thanks! I can’t say enough good things about Elements.

Hey @dan !

I saw the release notes for 2.0 seemed to indicate that this issue was fixed. I’m on 2.0.1 and the link color in dark mode is still not being respected.

That issue is still open, here’s the ticket.

Upgrading to the next version of Tailwind will make fixing this a lot easier and more robust going forward…

Cc’ing @ben for input!

Ah, I reread the release notes and see now this is referencing a different issue
