Weird link error after uploading to the server

Good morning, good morning, good morning, good

I have the following problem on my website.

I have to click the link (School manager) twice before the correct page appears.

A folder named “index_files” also suddenly appeared on my server. If I delete this folder, some images no longer show up. Can someone help me figure out what’s causing this? I think it has something to do with this Index_files folder, which was suddenly created by RW Classic.

Thanks a lot

Mike

That does sound like a really strange situation. If you’d like, I’m glad to take a closer look at it with you, but I need to see your project files. Can you share a copy of them? So I can try to reproduce the issue on my side and help track down what’s going wrong.

Hi,

What specific file do you require? The entire website is over 1GB in size, or which one in particular?

Kindest regards.Mike

Can you link to the live website? It’s a bit hard to diagnose the issue without seeing it…

Oh Yes jade-Gymnasium.de

mike. so where exactly are we supposed to look now? the website has so many links, buttons, and so on. Please give us as much info as possible. Where, what, and generally …

We just can’t really help you properly like this.

I thought I had written that.

When you’re on the Jade Gymnasium website, go to the menu on the left and click on Schulmanager. And that’s exactly where the problem is.

Problem: The first time you click it, the event page opens. If I click it again, then the correct page (Schulmanager) loads — and from then on it works correctly. But if I quit Safari or Edge, etc., the problem starts all over again.

And after the last upload, there’s now a folder on the server called Index_files. If, for example, I delete it, then images and so on are missing.

The internal linking in your Canvas menu isn’t correct.

And of course, if you delete folders that are needed, it’s normal that images or similar content might not be displayed.

And PLEASE: If you need help or have any issues, always provide as many details as possible—link to your homepage, screenshots, and so on. That’s the most effective way for everyone who wants to help you.

Good morning, good morning, good morning, good

Thanks to professional help, we solved the problem yesterday. And I learned something about it yesterday

Thank you for that..
Mike

Please check your menu again very carefully… the same mistake is still in there once more.
