Links to pages not working

I’ve rebuilt my website and publishing to my local web server to test before uploading it to live.

Problem is that if I click any link on any page it will not open the index page. Instead it will display a file folder with the index.css and index.html

Any one have a solution?

Ignore my post. I ended up posting to the server to test further and there it all worked as expected.

I’d prefer to work locally. Why don’t the page links work properly, and what can I do to make them work? The site I’m working on will have dozens of pages and I do need to inspect locally.

Indeed it does. I misunderstood how one checks it out. I was going to the local storage site and clicking on index.html.

I’m sure I’ll have more questions. I’m trying to convert an Adobe Muse publisher’s site (which I created and maintain).

I have to set up categories (fiction, poetry…) which then link to pages filled with book covers which, when clicked, link to a page about the book and its author.
