I’ve just completed some major updates to my Little Book of Elements CMS, which now clocks in at over 140 pages when printed.
While the book is no longer free—thanks to all that previewed it and had suggestions—it has been considerably expanded. Besides a lot of clarifications and expansions, I’ve now added chapters on how to use the CMS to make tables, how to build an HTML Component that will display most recent posts, updated the chapter on Using the CMS for Articles, expanded the FAQ section, and even added a cover to the book.
The book is now US$19.95 and available at Little Book of Elements CMS. @Dan and I have been discussing adding it to the Elements Store when it opens to developers. Moreover, I’ve now begun another book, Getting Started with Elements that tries to take you from Elements virgin to maestro. No time frame on that, as I’ve got a lot on my plate at the moment, but it’s in progress.
I just wanted to hop on and say that I purchased this book this morning and it’s been a brilliant help. Written in a way that is easy to understand - although page 59 did have me reaching for extra caffeine!! I have built my blog template and am happy. Just need to write some content for it! I would definitely recommend if you are baffled about the whole CMS/blog setup.
