Looking for a grid template

Hi

I am thinking of switching to Elements but if I don’t want to build everything from scratch if possible. What I am looking for:

  1. a frontpage with a cover photo and a top menu.
  2. the website top menu has a CV page, a project page, a blog, and a contact form
  3. one page should be for projects and I would like to have a grid with all my works. If you click on a tile, you get taken to the specific project page.
  4. Each project is tagged with a keyword let’s say “Oven”, “Frying”, “Fish”, “Chicken”, … (let’s go with cooking here for the sake of the example). On the top project page you should be able to filter on keywords using a dropdown menu. Some projects will have more than one taag and thuis if you filter, you will still be able to see those projects.
  5. At the bottom of each specific project page, I want to have tiles to three other related projects. These should be selected by the system randomly based on the tags. So if I saw a chicken-oven project, projects about fried chicken should populate that.
  6. With the CMS editor, I want also a tiled page: each post is a tile.
  7. Can I embed SoundCloud and other media in Elements?

In short: in whatr I want to do possible in Elements and is there a template that I can use or do I have to start from scratch?

Hi Samuel @sitebuilder

what I read is that you have very specific needs or ideas how your website should look and what it shall do. I would say it can be very difficult to get out of the box what you have in mind.

The good thing with Elements is that you can be very flexible. I would have a look at the templates section on the Elements store Templates | RapidWeaver Elements Store. There are 2 libraries available - the Essentials library and the fleXon 2 library.

Both could possibly help to achieve what you have in mind but both are not ready made projects they are giving you a library of pre-defined sections and you select the design sections you need.

Hope it helps!
